The “KANO Visitor Center” is located at the entrance of KANO Park. The architecture incorporates the minimalist Wood City motif of Chiayi City and resembles a butterfly taking flight. The Visitor Center connects popular nearby tourist attractions such as the century-old Chiayi Park, Arboretum, Municipal Baseball Stadium, Grass Skiing Field, and Starlight Slide. It is also a hub for convenient, low-carbon public transportation such as BRT, city buses and YOUBIKE 2.0.
In addition to visitor information services, the KANO Visitor Center incorporates “food, accommodation, recreation, shopping, and travel” functions and serves as a window to all the great food, entertainment, attractions, and shopping in Chiayi City. Amenities include public restrooms, baby care room, mobile device charging area, free Internet access, electronic storage lockers, and wheelchair rental. Volunteer tour guides are also stationed here.
